The Osher Map Library has a long and rich history of curating wonderful, creative exhibitions. This includes over 27 exhibits in the 20 years since the OML first opened its doors. Typically, the OML curates two exhibits per year, one in the fall and one in the spring.
A few of our more popular exhibits include Triumph of the Passenger Ship: Highlights from the Norman H. Morse Ocean Liner Collection, 1870-2010, The Changing Peninsula: Two Centuries of Portland Maps and City Views and Envisioning the World: The First Printed Maps, 1472-1700. All of these exhibits are online and can be viewed on the OML Exhibit page.
The Library hosts a lecture and a reception at the opening of each Exhibit. Visit our events page for more information about upcoming events.
