The Osher Map Library K-12 outreach programs are expansive and provide lesson plans, in-class visits, tours of the Library, and interactive games. The outreach team travels regularly to classrooms throughout Maine to present maps and engage students with hands-on activities. Students who visit the OML participate in:

  • An interactive session with original historic maps
  • A private viewing of our current exhibition
  • A tour of the Smith Globe Collection (second in size only to the Library of Congress)
  • Fun and engaging games and activities tailored to your class size, grade, and area of interest
